Offical Opening of the
Ninth Battalions
Memorial Museum

The new Ninth Battalions Museum will be officially opened on Saturday 24 July 2010. The Service will commence at 10.00am and will be followed by a BBQ lunch at the National Memorial Walk. MAJGEN Jim Molan AO, DSC Rtd will give the main address.
The 9 RAR Museum Collection is an integral part of the Ninth Battalions Museum and we have one room set aside for the display of our memorabilia.
9 RAR members are cordially invited to attend this most significant event. To allow for seating and catering would you please advise of your intention to attend by 16 July 2010.
More information will be posted on the website within the next two weeks.

ANZAC Day 2010 Brisbane
There are a series of photos on the photo sharing website for you to view. (From Dan and Bruce) They show the Dawn Service at the National Memorial Walk, the March in Brisbane and the post march reunion in the city. There were 30 members who marched and our group was led out by Bruce Sutherland. It was great to have the sons of three of our members march with us.

* We are now proposing to upload the previous two Niner News for reference - see the new item on the left menu. This does not include the current Niner News Issue.
* The main menu above has changed to now include Merchandise as a separate segment.

Passing Parade
The funeral of one of our members Kenneth (Jock) Smith was held at the Bayside Memorial Gardens, Nikenbah on 03 March 2010. Many of our members attended to pay tribute to Ken and support the family in the celebrations of his life. All present laid a poppy on the casket to honour his memory.

Biennial General Meeting 2009
The BGM was conducted on 6 December 2009. Barry was elected as President for another term. The new committee was also elected with all standing again except Garry and Jack. |
