Charter:

  • Uphold the Constitution of The Royal Australian Regiment Association

  • Foster fellowship and goodwill amongst former members of 9RAR, their dependants and next-of-kin

  • Actively seek out and unite previously un-identified former members of 9RAR and to assist where necessary and if so desired with their rehabilitation at a non-professional level

  • Ensure members and their next-of-kin are kept informed of all developments which may be of interest to them

  • Commemorate the Battalion Birthday on or near 13 November each year

  • Maintain association with the 8th/9th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (now 8/9RAR Association

  • At the discretion of the Management Committee, maintain liaison with

    • The 9th Battalions Association

    • Returned Services League of Australia

    • The Royal Australian Regiment Association

    • Kindred associations and organisations having similar aims and objectives

  • Organise re-unions and other social activities as may be required from time to time, on behalf of the Members of the Association.

 

Whilst this site is maintained primarily as a means of communication between former members, it should not be seen as a replacement for the Niner News, or the Queensland Branch Newsletter, which will continue to be mailed to those who do not have these means. It should also be used as a means by which the life and times of the Battalion and its Members, is maintained and preserved as part of Australian Military History.
